The cottage is in a perfect location, quietly tucked away in a rural North Devon village; found midway between the river port of Bideford and the historic market town of Great Torrington.
Find yourself surrounded by countryside and woodland yet only 10-15 minutes from stunning, long sandy Blue Flag beaches, hidden coves and the dramatic North Devon coastline; close to everything yet tucked away from the main tourist routes.
Two minutes walk leads you to the friendly village pub, serving food, ‘The Cyder Presse’. Five minutes further leads to the village park with a children’s playground, playing field and community orchard. Look out for the ‘Tarka Trail’ walking and cycling route, adjacent to the village, allowing you to cycle along to the beach for lunch, with a good choice of great little cafés, pubs and restaurants along the way.
The nearest shops are just 5 minutes away in Torrington. These include fabulous local butchers, bakers, greengrocers, chemist, Co-Op, Lidl and M&S Simply food. Most other major supermarkets are within a 10 minute drive and Bideford has a great selection of small independent shops, well worth a browse, plus a great modern art gallery with a French café, The Burton.
